- Years 2012–2014
- Format Workshops for children
- Topic Creative learning through analogue and digital photography
This space was designed especially for children, to foster their creativity in a playful way and introduce them to the world of analogue and digital photography. The central aim was active learning of the fundamental concepts of photography, combining exciting, hands-on activities.
The workshops included:
- Discovering the magic of the darkroom: The children were introduced to traditional photography and watched images appear step by step on photographic paper. This sharpened their understanding of the chemical and physical processes of analogue photography.
- Creating unique portraits: Using professional cameras and lighting, the children put their own ideas into practice. They learned to compose scenes and to use light and shadow strategically in portrait photography.
- Photographing movement: In this workshop, participants developed an understanding of shutter speeds by capturing movement, from jumps to small experiments with fast and slow exposures.
- Creative image editing: Using modern software, the children brought their photos to life digitally. They learned to use colours, filters and layouts creatively to refine their work.
The workshops offered a balanced mix of theory and practice, allowing the children to develop both technical skills and artistic sensitivity. The space was geared towards awakening curiosity, encouraging creative thinking and giving participants the tools to develop their own visual language.
